We were surprised when the new business inside the Gage & Tollner building set up shop so quickly—particularly since the Landmarks Commission put the last tenant, Arby’s, through its paces—and now The Eagle reports that the LPC isn’t OK with the interior changes that the discount jewelry shop Ladies & Gents has made. The bright pink wall paneling that Ladies & Gents installed was put in without LPC approval, and the retailer is facing possible fines. It’s unclear if the LPC is going to ask for the paneling to be removed or not. Ladies & Gents opened in the Fulton Mall storefront last month.
