Last week Community Board 2’s full board gave its nod of approval to a landmarks application at 135 Plymouth Street to create a new building entry and storefront at one of the existing truck bays along Plymouth Street. The rest of the building is occupied by tenants and a paper recycling company. According to the CB2 Landuse minutes, the owner still has to work with Landmarks Preservation Committee to finalize the plans. The real question is, what would work best here? It’s so close to the waterfront that it would make a cool restaurant space… GMAP
