Today’s house is a 1902 Edwardian that’s been beautifully updated by its artist owners, with some vintage-modern touches and a lot of lovely spaces. It’s at 210 Stratford Road in Beverly Square West, but you could be forgiven for calling this Ditmas Park, as many would.
Right now it’s set up as a two-family, with an exceptionally nice one-plus-bedroom rental on the ground floor. Most buyers will no doubt covet that ground-floor space and want to turn this into a one-family, and it could be easily done.
In fact the listing, from Rebekah Carver at Brooklyn Hearth, offers a second floor plan depicting a one-family layout. Go that route and there’s a huge amount of space to play with, including seven bedrooms.
There are some nice original details here — parquet floors as far as the eye can see, stained-glass windows, moldings, mantels, ceiling medallions. Note also the carefully chosen updates — the playful vintage-modern lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, for example.

There certainly was some money spent on this place. It really is lovely. All the windows and nicely proportioned rooms make it seem so airy. Price is too high for me, but I think they’ll get really close to ask.
