Few vestiges of the old J.J. Byrne Playground in Park Slope remain—aside from the trees—clearing the way for the new bells and whistles that will be installed as part of the $3 million revamp the park is undergoing. When it’s complete, the space will include more distinct play areas for kids of different ages and adult-themed spaces like a seating area with cafe table. The 4th Street cul-de-sac will also become a play area and no-car zone during the day. Ground was broken here in April.
