While not on Clinton Hill’s most desirable block, 54 Irving Place, at $1,150,000, might provide a nice entry point into the area for the right buyer. It looks like the original details are basically intact. The lack of bathroom and kitchen photos along with mentions of “TLC” in the listing suggest there’s a good bit of work to be done. We’re also not convinced that the broker who posted this ad is the actual listing broker, as there is mention of additional brokers having to collect their fees from their buyer. When we included it as an Open House Pick a year ago, the broker was the web-site-less R. J. Chappell Realty.

  1. I saw this house last week. It is decent shape. There is new very inexpensive Home Depot style kitchen in it, but I would have to take it out and start over.

A house a couple doors south, #58, is also for sale. It has much nicer kitchen renovations, one I could live with. It has been renovated, but not toooo much. The yard is enormous.

  2. Re making posts stick — patience, my dear friends. Post once. Then check back in three minutes. If it isn’t there, click refresh. If it still isn’t there, which is highly unlikely, then post again. I find all my posts stick, eventually. As Mr. B says:

  3. I think the house is fine across the street is a school. If you think this is to much maybe you should keep renting. I dont live in CH but would like to.
