With the city getting back to work after the holiday hiatus, it is not surprising to see that the number of townhouses listed in the New York Times classifieds for at least $800,000 rose 18% overall week-over-week, with the biggest percentage gains coming in the $1 million to $1.25 million range (+46%) and the $1.25 million to $1.5 million range (+34). The smallest change occurred among the priciest properties: the number listed for $2.5 million and above increased only 7% from 28 to 30.
