what tornado?
what’s weird is turning on the news and seeing every newscast channel reporting live from “Park Slope.” Big branches from an old oak broke off in our backyard, and tons of debris on our deck, but our block was lucky. Prospect b/w 5th and 6th not quite as lucky, at least one downed tree on the sidewalk.
Never saw a sky get black that quickly, or winds pick up that fast. Crazy.
Carlton between Dekalb and Willoughby is blocked by a downed tree.

-at least one whole roof in greenwood torn off and put on cars
-prospect expressway totally shut down for a while- trees across it, and a neighbor said -that some cars were pushed at the top out where it turns to the gowanus
-trees down everywhere
-definitely saw a funnel run down my street during the height of it
Some carnage over on Kent Ave

This was the kind of storm that’ll make you ‘get religion’ real quick! One of my cats is still very upset. And I’m pretty sure he was praying.
That was crazy… Brooklyn Heights was blowing sideways.
We were inside and had no idea how bad it was but a huge — maybe 150 year old? — oak on Washington b/t Lafayette and Greene is down, along with lots of trees on Washington and crossing streets. I amazed our house/car were missed.
