  1. fun but overpriced. as stated enough with the $49 tote bags ($8 at strand). the food line was ridiculous. how many people need expensive t-shirts? i used to go to the chelsea flea market and let me tell you it was not the chelsea flea market. you need to find a happy medium, and i’m not talking about including tube socks. not all of us who live in the neighborhood can afford yuppie stuff. no wonder most people were just “window shopping”-keep it up and you won’t have any repeat customer.

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed the flea, despite the weather.

Bought a few really great things, and contrary to a few comments, found the prices quite reasonable, actually. A couple of the places selling vintage bowls, glasses, etc were downright cheap compared to the stores I go to.

Can’t wait to come again and again.

By the time I left around 2pm though, the crowds were getting outrageous. I’m guessing it will calm down as time goes by, but I also shudder to think how many people will be there on a NICE day.

  3. I want to know what happened. If the Flea happened, why did this site announce that it was NOT happening today? My wife and I were planning to come and it looks like we missed it because of an erroneous announcement on this site.

  4. Wow, the same yuppie crap you can buy all over Fort Greene and Park Slope anyway, and for the same outrageous prices. What a deal. Utter waste of time compared to something like the Alemany flea in San Francisco.

“HELL NO to banning strollers – many of those families with kids are probably new homeowners in the area and without catering to their needs this flea market won’t be able to get much needed support!

Cheap, low-budget hipsters need to relax, while you are looking for some crappy, used, worn-out clothes”

Carry your brat. There are plenty of hipster parents buying vintage clothing, plenty of parents who do not own a house, plenty who spend so much on the kids they can’t buy antiques, and plenty of childless people with houses nicer than yours who do have money for something other than overpriced onesies.
