  1. “Hey Jon I will give a log-in to asshathill.com and you can see how it’s done.”

This is the part in the movie where the sidekick is supposed to say “Don’t do it, Jon, it may be a trap!” Of course, it’s only a good movie if (a) Jon does it and (b) yes, indeed, it’s a trap. (Cue What going mmmmwwwuuuhhhahhhahha, or something like that.) 😉

Seriously, using explorer on a pc, and also firefox on a PC laptop, the home page loads slowly and in segments. Sometimes a whole minute before you can scroll all the way down.

Also, really active threads (OT, e.g.,) never open to fully current comments. OT only worth opening if you refresh immediately after. But that’s an old problem.

  2. Never been auto-logged out, not once.

Old site used to hold or freeze when first loaded on a computer for the day (I look at the site from multiple terminals all day long) – half-loaded – then suddenly would fill out on the screen. It wuld hold for 10 seconds or so, but this hasn’t happened since the redo.

  3. I use Internet Explorer 7 and have been having constant issues since the new release. At least once (and more often 2-3 times) each time I visit the site the mouse will begin to flicker and all functioning on the page freezes(clicking scrolling). The only way I can fix it is to jump into an application other than IE, and then back to IE. After I do that, it’s fine. I’ve actually had to do this twice just while typing this comment. I miss the old site!

  4. I use Internet Explorer 7 and have had constant issues since the upgrade. The mouse will start to flicker and all function on the page (clicking, scrolling) freezes. The remedy I have found is to click to another program other than IE, then back to IE. After that the flickering mouse is gone. This happens at least once (sometimes 203 times) every time I visit the site.

  5. I’ve lost posts to auto log out too. Also, when I go away from the computer for a few hours, and put it in hibernate mode, I get logged out in the same day, often several times a day. It’s not the worst thing in the world to have to log back in, but it would be great if I didn’t have to.

  6. Some of the users have gotten slower, but the site seems OK. My only complaint is that I have also lost posts when I have been auto logged off while typing.
