Can they all see other blogs using wordpress? My guess is that if they can read the blog, but only have a problem with commenting, then it is the commenting system that is causing the problem with firewalls or such.

MM and BHS are right, cgar. Disqust is a third party comment hosting system whereas the old site had its own integrated commenting system.
