Don’t think so- unless disqus gets hacked by lulsez (? sp?). But the question is data mining- seeing where you go and what you post. I just want a brownstoner account. I don’t want disqus having information on where else I post, or keeping those posts (which they do, on their centralized servers).
Sorry- forgot to add- from what I read, when disqus has a problem, it has a problem on all of its sites because it is centralized. So if it goes down, no site that uses it will have access. The old putting all your eggs in one basket problem.

true- but the problem with disqus is it tracks you across multiple websites and centralizes that information under your one username.
