5.48 – you seem clueless. As someone on both sides of the fence I can tell you that one subculture is way more “forthright” in what is acceptable in approaching women (in the conversational sense) than the other. You really need to give up on the idea that every group acts the same, they dont’, thats why we have the concept of cultures.
If you think your experience in Chinatown is the same as in Staten island and east New York then you’re a delusional self-satisifed twerp.
or a higher concentration of them where you live.
Stone age..Sub-culture…black neighborhood,
Give me a break. I am a woman who works around some of the most expensive constuction projects in Manahattan. And I can tell you, I see very little blackfaces, but I hear some of the most dispicable comments made to woman as they walk past. Don’t try to limit that behavior to a crowd of young men standing outside a train station. You and your girlfriend will get the same treatment in many parts of this city. It just seems more magnified because of your prejudice towards these men.
“Do your girlfriend have one of those sistah booty’s 8:10? Because I was told that I have one. At first, I thought they were taunting me with insults about my fat ass.”
That’s right. We brothers LIKE your ass. Really! Nothing like a white chick with a sister booty.
so if i’m white i can’t sexually harass a black woman on the street?
what happened to equality!?!?!
the stone age?
10am – it depends what sub-culture you’re in. In some, its always been acceptable.
am i the only one who prefers the area around the lorimer L better than bedford?
i feel it’s quieter, more neighborhoody, but not too far from the amenities of the bedford L disneyland scene.
since when has it become acceptable for a man to say sexually explicit things to a woman on the street just because he is black and in a black neighborhood?
disgusting.
