On Sunday evening, a car managed to crash—backwards—into the townhouse at the corner of Remsen and Hicks in Brooklyn Heights, recalling a similar accident that happened at the Rite Aid in Park Slope last month. According to a tipster who sent in these photos to the Brooklyn Heights Blog, nobody was hurt.

  1. “my guess is that she was driving on Hicks Street, saw a parking spot on Remsen, and decided to go down the street in reverse. ”

    that’s SOOO illegal

you’ll never see someone on a bike going in reverse.

  2. my guess is that she was driving on Hicks Street, saw a parking spot on Remsen, and decided to go down the street in reverse. Alas, her aim was poor. If not for the massive ironwork and brownstone curb stone, both of which are now in the bottom of the areaway, the car could have done real damage to the house itself.

  3. “They usually always have a lot of left wing pinko tree-hugging bumper stickers as well.”

So true! Subarus and that boxy weird looking car the name of which I never recall. “What is all our oil doing under all their sand?” was particularly annoying.

  4. Is that a Subaru???? Those people are always driving slow in the fast lane on the highway. They usually always have a lot of left wing pinko tree-hugging bumper stickers as well.
