House Rear-Ended in The Heights
On Sunday evening, a car managed to crash—backwards—into the townhouse at the corner of Remsen and Hicks in Brooklyn Heights, recalling a similar accident that happened at the Rite Aid in Park Slope last month. Car Hits Brownstone in Brooklyn Heights [BHB]
OMG, christopher, I so remember that! When I was looking for an apt. in 1981 I saw that one and heard of its history (plus another one in Carroll Gardens where the tenant had hanged himself – “the Malara (sp?) apartment”) but we were superstitious and ended up on Columbia Heights instead – no regrets there!
That house has bad luck…
… the crazy guy who wrote the swastikas on local synagogues, and was building pipe bombs in his bedroom, lived in that building.
… back in the late 70s/early 80s there was a murder in the garden apartment
and speaking of the garden apartment, it was the shrink’s apartment in the movie The Departed.

Don’t all Subarus come with a roof mounted kayak, or is it optional?
That’s a Subaru Legacy Impreza something or other. Not to be confused with the Forester, which is the official car of weekend-hiking lesbians.
People have their minds/eyes on the real economy rather than the road.
***Bid half off peak comps***
that looks like a subaru
Remember folks it’s right pedal go, left pedal stop.
That’s not a Subaru, but I’d agree with the stereotype and add in some additional characterisitics: the driver is uusally sporting frizzy hair, John Lennon-type spectacles and crocs.
I’d be so pissed if I were the brownstone owner.
