This has been making the blogosphere rounds, but a reader alerted us to the blog The Daily Clean, which is an ongoing project to take one or two hours out of the day to clean up a small site in Brooklyn. The cleanup spots are archived on the website, and seems concentrated in Bushwick and Williamsburg so far. Pretty inspiring, to say the least, and the hope is that the project catches on. So who’s in?

Thank you for sharing this! I often want to clean up around Wallabout…maybe I can inspire a few of my neighbors to chip in!
Good, i think it is great. I actually feel like cleaning my neighbors tree pit, as it is a catch all, and he is old and cannot do it anymore.
damn trees, I liked the concrete better, it was so much more cleaner
This is fantastic, even the snarkiest of posters should agree. And if just a few people think this is cool and do it on their blocks, in front of their homes or randomly, the Boro will be a cleaner place for all of us.
Wow, Fjorder, cynical much? I think this is a great idea!
Is that what happened to 200 Smith?
where do you get one of those pointy sticks or would I have to make my own with an icepick, duct tape and a broom handle?
That’s one half-assed cleanup; I am not impressed with those before-and-after shots.
