The new World Trade Center is fundamentally transforming downtown Manhattan. The Hudson Yards was on the cover of Fortune, described as “America’s Biggest Real Estate Project… Ever.” With $70 billion dollars in foreign investment in U.S. real estate development, there has never been a better time to talk about global real estate.

This Wednesday, March 26, The Manhattan Association of REALTORS® is hosting its third annual Global Real Estate Symposium at the McGraw-Hill Conference Center in Manhattan.

“This will be a great overview of what’s going on in the New York market,” says Global Symposium Chair Rick Wohlfarth. “Foreign buyers are driving the high end of the market.”

After registration and a continental breakfast, keynote speaker John “Janno” Lieber, the president of World Trade Center Properties, will be speaking about the resurgence of downtown Manhattan as the new World Trade Center reaches completion. After this, the Symposium will feature a series of panel discussions between leading lights in the world of NYC real estate, law, marketing, and finance. The topics include:

  • Global Buyers, Sellers, and Investors: Challenges and Opportunities
  • The International Investor
  • Cultural Differences: Roadblocks and Advantages
  • The Global Impact of Social Media, Mobile Apps and Digital Marketing
  • Developing for the International Clients

In addition to the panel discussions, National Association of REALTORS® Chief Economist Dr. Lawrence Yun will speak on real estate trends and forecasts, and NAR President Steve Brown will give a speech on “Organized Real Estate: The Global Advantage.” There will be a lunchtime networking session, and, at the end of the day, a cocktail reception. See full agenda here.

Register now to attend the Manhattan Association of REALTORS® Global Real Estate Symposium. If you’re involved in New York real estate, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to talk to and learn from the best minds in the business.
