Williamsburg Apartment for Rent -- 60 Berry Street

One of Williamsburg’s actual former factories has launched leasing, with newly converted apartments kitted out in an industrial-rustic style fitting for the old building. Listings for the Brooklyn Soda Factory Lofts at 60 Berry Street in Williamsburg went up online Monday, and now there are 11 units, starting at $3,300 for a one-bedroom.

“Exposed” is the operative word, with a surfeit of exposed brick, beams, ducts and plumbing. There is also interesting patterned tile in the kitchen, shiny black tile in the baths, shelves made of reclaimed wood, and attractive multi-paned windows reminiscent of old factory-style black iron windows. Adding vintage-style charm are tin ceilings, farmhouse sinks and clawfoot tubs.

A two-bedroom is at the top end of the asks at $5,500 a month. There’s a washer and dryer in the unit.

The 40-unit building also has an additional laundry room, as well as a gym, a lounge, a lobby with a pool table, and a roof deck.

At these prices, they’re not exactly giving these things away, but the location, at Berry and North 10th, is prime. We imagine the brokers — Christine Blackburn and Lior Barak at Compass — won’t work up too hard of a sweat moving these.

In fact, four have already rented, according to the listings. What do you think of them?
