Which Way Are Readers Leaning in the Presidential Race?
Speaking of politics…While New Yorkers won’t weigh in on the presidential race officially for about another month, we thought the occasion of today’s New Hampshire primary would be a good opportunity to see which way Brooklynites (or a certain blog-reading subsection, at least) were leaning. Please take the five-question Democratic Primary Poll on the link. The polls will close at 8 o’clock tonight and we’ll have the results for you in the morning. In the meantime, any predictions for how the real primary will go today?
Brownstoner Primary Poll [Survey Monkey]
Brownstoner must be a republican to have started this thread.
Edwards. Or Bloomberg.
Hillary is a cynical opportunist.
Obama is substance-less.
Every one of the Republicans is a scary freak.
Ron Paul is batsh*t crazy.
It’s going to be a tough choice for the Dems. as for experience, and pointing out the Bush had so much more than Obama- the comparison isn’t really valid. Bush had a political machine to put him in office- i can’t explain otherwise how a substandard intellect with the social skills of backwoods squirrel eater and the foreign policy and military skills of a 9 year old playing with GI Joe dolls is more qualified to be President than Barack Obama. If Bush is the example of what an experienced politican can do, please! give me a 3 year old child. When they said a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, they meant Bush for sure.
experience is obviously no indicator of competency. I do like Edwards though- Edwards/Obama would be a great ticket too.
No, 5:44 I dont think total anarchy will solve the problem – But how about voting 3rd party or independent candidates and stop feeding into the vicious 2 party machine that has so many locked in.
The 2 party system, and the primaries in particular, make sure we get the worst, most extreme candidate from each party and then it is always a contest of “Lesser of 2 Evils”
wow. cynical much, 5:38?
might as well just go out and loot the streets tonight then.
You guys really think any of these candidates, Republican or Democrat, offers any “Change”? Have you picked up a history book ever or taken Poly Sci 101.
They are all part of the same corrupt and dysfunctional system. Calling myself a Democrat as opposed to a Reblican is like saying your an asshat vs a fucktard – Its the same goddam thing. People have been electing leaders for decades who are going to “change” things, promise to make your lives somehow better, institute programs and policies that a President has absolutely no authority or power to do…
Once they get your vote, they quickly melt into the massive lumbering political machine cranking out favors and graf in exchange for ass-covering and donations and political cover for the next election.
So sad what a monstrosity our government has become, sucking everything and everyone in as quickly as we can throw our arms in the air with a homemade “Go Obama” or “Romney 08”
sign pledging our allegance.
William F. Buckley for President
I think Clinton’s advisors suck BIG TIME. She is getting extremely defensive and going negative, and she should be doing just the opposite. It’s horrible and it will ruin her. I am still voting for her, but she needs to dump her crew and get new advice.
Sharpton/Barron 2008!
