Remember that new small development project on 21st Street that we recently told you had scored a LEED Platinum rating? Well, it’s now on the market so you can see what it looks like on the inside. It’s got a name, too: The Silhouette. The units, which should appeal to buyers with a modern bias, range in price from $859,000 for the second-floor two-bedroom to $930,000 for the one on the top floor. Nice, right?

Greenwood Heights Project Scores LEED Platinum Rating [Brownstoner]
If I weren’t so anti-condo and, well, broke, I’d take the 930k unit. Not at asking price, but I doubt they really expect to get that ask. Gotta start somewhere.
Rookie;
My daughter jogs almost everyday in Greenwood.
The real question is, will they get those prices?? That location is a hard sell, but the LEED thing might appeal to some buyers. Will be fun to watch.
Well, Benson, here’s to hoping they used quality brick!
Jog, probably without hassle, biking, no.
Random question, but can you jog/bike in the Greenwood cemetery?
Nice facade, but not digging the SUNY dorm room interior.
Way overpriced at 860K-930K… you can find 2BR’s for less in far better locations.
Snappy;
It they use quality bricks, it shouldn’t harm the shine. I had my previous home’s facade cleaned, and it looked like new.
Usually after the wash, the mortar is repointed too.
In the 1960’s, glazed brick was the rage in NYC, especially for Manhattan apartment buildings. At that time, the brick was white. Glazed white bricks were considered “swanky”, to use the term that was popular at the time.
Benson, and the acid wash doesn’t harm the shine? Or does it enhance the shine?
