Should We Feel Sorry For Novo Contract Holders? [Brownstoner]
Benson & Wine Lover,
You don’t have to hate developers to think this building is a piece of garbage.
You also don’t have to be a real estate genius to know anybody who bought into it in this market made a big mistake.
OTOH, I’m with you on the boiler thing. . .who cares?
thought it was Elmhurst Hospital.
I don’t know about the boiler but they are experiencing signage failure. Someone needs to get in a cherry picker and re-attach the sign on the side of the building.
Wine Lover;
You want facts to get in the way of developer-bashing on Brownstoner??? Please, remember the Brownstoner mantra: developers are evil people. Bash first, find out facts (if any) later.
wow. are there any facts in any of this here? you guys really sound ridiculous. it’s all very negative.
Moral: Don’t buy pre-construction.

Its ok, ConEd doesn’t let the energy fail at Hospitals. This is probably being provided free.
I’m usually not as snobby as others on here when it comes to new buildings – but this is a really really really ugly building.
I saw this portable steam unit a last week. I guess its taking them a long time to make the necessary repairs. At least they still have heating in the building.
Usually the courts give you a few weeks to fix a boiler if it fails. They could have easily excercised that right. its a good thing they are willing to pay out of their pocket to ensure that the tenants have heat while the boiler is being fixed.
But then again, with that clinic of the first floor they might not have had much of a choice.
Non-The-Less im glad they did the right thing and hope they will have their heating system up and running soon.
