Rental of the Day: 1022 Bedford Avenue
This four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the third floor of 1022 Bedford Avenue is lovely. Lots of well-kept details, a nice kitchen renovation, and what looks like a good amount of space. It’s priced at $3,850 a month, and we imagine it will go quickly. Agree? 1022 Bedford Avenue [Swythe, Inc.] GMAP P*Shark

My 5 young-creative-type roommates and I were priced out of the apartment below this one when our lease ended and the rent skyrocketed last month. Presumably that is what happened to the folks living upstairs as well. The rooms and details are pretty nice, but the apartment as a whole is really dark and narrow inside. The back is too hot and the front is too cold. 3 of the four bedrooms are legit, the fourth has a real window that leads to a shaft; it provides neither breeze nor light.
Also, we had bedbugs.
Saying that an apartment that is almost directly across the street from a metro stop is a little unfair to areas that actually don’t have subway access. Sure it’s the G, but it’s pretty nice, on a rainy day, to dash across the street and down into station without having to tramp around in the rain. I found the location to be extremely convenient. There’s also a grocery store directly across the street.
Nice apartment, insanely high priced. I guess they might get it from 4 roommates, but ita with babs re: the “bedrooms.”
shitty subway access here. G train or LOOOOONG walk to the A at nostrand.
