This rental at 101 Warren Street, also known as The Arches at Cobble Hill, was mentioned by a commenter in Friday’s Rental of the Day thread. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit has a lot of space – 1450 square feet plus a 415 square foot private roof – and is in very nice shape. (The building is only a block away from Columbia Street…we bet those rooftop views are awesome.) The asking rent is $4,200 a month. Think they’ll get it?

“Coke-addled money boys”? That building is almost entirely young families with decent careers, and some senior citizens mixed in. DER, you sound like one seriously bitter renter, please try to conjure one comment that isn’t oozing with jealousy and resentment.
I don’t think you can say that the Home Buildings were the first low income housing built in the US. But they were an improvement over most that HAD been built!
“In 1877 he [Alfred White] completed the Home Buildings on the corner of Hicks and Baltic Streets. These twin, six-story, fire-proof brick buildings, with their sunlit rooms, private toilets, and balconies, were “the most advanced tenement houses in the world.”
Of course, the BQE wasn’t there yet! I do wonder about the noise. I’ve found that you don’t lose the noise until you are about one full block away.
And it’s a building already filled with coke-addled money boys and their grasping ilk. Directly over the BQE. In a deconsecrated catholic church. Across from the first low income housing built in the U.S. The ironies are thick. Imagine that it also involves a real estate agent that lies. Shocking!
It’s a brisk 10-12 minute walk to all of those subway lines
Ooh wow, WANT. (Even though it’s not actually close to the subway at all.) What a gorgeous apartment, especially with that roof.
Judging from the terrace, it looks like the unit is in the back of the building. You wouldn’t really have trouble with the BQE.
that is quite nice.
*rob*
This is just a lie.
“A truly accessible destination as it is serviced by the F, G, 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C….”
Ms. Emma Hamilton Malina should be slapped.
Well, I hear the B61 bus is great.
