Rental of the Day: 145 State Street
This listing at 145 State Street is a floor-through, two-bedroom, one-bathroom rental in a Brooklyn Heights Arts and Crafts style townhouse. The details on this one are really appealing, especially the windows and the wide, rounded entryway going into the kitchen. The exterior of the townhouse isn’t too shabby either. 145 State Street [Brown Harris Stevens] GMAP P*Shark
Donald, thank you. I know exactly where this house is now — south side of State, between Court & Clinton.
Dave, it’s never been loud when I’ve walked by, but that’s only walking by. There is always a police presence, and there are always things going on at the mosque, any time of day or night when I walk that block.
Where are you guys seeing the floor plan? If this is a typical “two bedroom” that is really a 1.5 bedroom floor through carved out of a former one-family brownstone, then $3,000 a month is a completely ridiculous price. Try $1,900 to $2,200. And if the kitchen is so new and lovely, why isn’t there a photo of it?
Mosque is next door but Streetview doesn’t show any barricades. Is it loud at anytime???
too bad about that ghastly exposed brick
CGar – active mosque at 143 State. Permanent police baracades on the sidewalk.
Thanks, Dave, LOL. Was wondering the cross street, or whether there’s a squirrel house adjacent, or a meth lab across the street, or something else to explain the considerably low price for such a beautiful house in Brooklyn Heights.
“Cause if they were market rate, this was a great investment”
And, if this is true, I agree.
Uh Oh! The widget price has already cost B&H $500 in commission.
durr, 150K. Sorry about the typo, must be time for lunch.
I’ll take the Garden, but not the Parlor apt for that much. The LR/DR space is too small. I actually like the layout of the top floor. But I was also questioning the status of the other two rentals – whether they came with RS tenants. Cause if they were market rate, this was a great investment.
