Internships, grandparents, corporate housing, summer studies, vacations, etc. lots of reasons to need a place for the summer. The price is a bit high, but it’s a very high-end rental.
The first time I ever walked along Washington Park I thought, “Wow, anything to live here.”
BH, dont know how representive of overall demand for such stuff in the hood but I knew of a ton of furnished short term leases (but in the 1700 to 2500 range) that were taken up by such grandparents.
“Who is the target market? Serious Q. What would be driving the demand? Are people summering in Ft Greene now?”
you’d be surprised how many (european) tourists look for sublets like this instead of hotels.
i’ve encountered quite a few in my neck of the woods – not sure about demand in ft. greene tho.
That seems like a plausible scenario, M4L.
Seems like a leap from there to demand driver.
dont know about this price range, but lots of the furnished short term leases in the hood are taken up by parents of newbie parents – ie to see, hold, babysit the newbie grandchild. And of course this is because the newbie parents are living in a small aptmt that CAN’T accommodate their parents who came to help with the baby

you have to compare to available short term listings which are very expensive.

This seemed high for a 2br, then I saw it was only 1br.
