Rental of the Day: 225 Park Place

We rather like this two-bedroom rental at 225 Park Place, a co-op building off Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights. While it doesn’t look huge, there seems to be more space than you’ll get from a typical two bedroom rental…the alcove in the living room is a nice plus. And of course, who doesn’t like a doorman and elevator building, especially with in-house laundry? The rent is $3,075, decreased from an initial stretch of $3,750. Update: This unit was rented late yesterday!

The speed at which some apartments move is mind boggling. I went to look at a 3 bedroom on 4th in Park Slope a few nights ago and at least 25 people were there to also take a look (which was funny because it had that same old railroad hallway and everyone had to shuffle to view. Amazing cross section of people too, single guy, family with baby, young couple, lesbian couple, white, African American, Asian. I felt the whole world was there fighting to view the last apartment in the world.
Not to worry, they were never asking $3750. To the extent you saw that somewhere, it was a typo.
