We like the look of this Carroll Gardens (mini)loft; what it lacks in privacy it makes up for with charm (and high ceilings). The original beams are a nice touch, matched with the exposed brick and the huge window. At 663 square feet, though, it has some compromises to contend with: the kitchen is practically non-existent, and there’s room upstairs for not much more than a bed. Do you think it’ll fetch the asking rent of $2,200 a month?

  1. I live in the building, and I really can’t imagine a better place to live. It’s quiet, very well maintained, has an elevator, central heat/AC, and is only 1 block from Smith St. I promise this is not my unit, but I think the price is worth the amenities.

  2. Absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn’t rent this for any price.

I used to rent a floor-through one bedroom in Carroll Gardens for $1900 and that was bad enough. At least it was all on one floor.
