We took a tour of The Edge, and while the full photo spread’s still to come, the pool was was shouting out for its own post. Maybe we’re feeling a little jealous with the coming summer heat, the Gowanus pool closure, and our inability to pop into the Pier 6 Water Park. But with a pool this big, a hot tub, a cold water pool with a waterfall, his-and-her locker rooms, indoor and outdoor showers, a sauna, and a Turkish Steam Room…well, it’s hard not to be a little jealous.

  1. “All the amenities at the Edge condo development are only for those living in the condos, not the rentals”

Makes sense – the renters don’t pay any common charges.

  2. WBer,

All the amenities at the Edge condo development are only for those living in the condos, not the rentals. (The rep told me they consider the condos and rentals two totally separate developments.)

  3. There’s an outdoor pool too?

If you need Olympic size, you’ll have to wait until 2012 and join the masses at McCarren! (Speaking of masses, is this amenity available to residents of the affordable units at the Edge?)

  4. Very Nice. As Biff stated, the abundance of light in this one makes it stand out. If you need olympic sized lanes, you probably should swim at a dedicated facility.

  5. This is about standard size for a pool in all new construction

    What do you expect?

Toren (the building all brownstoners have a boner for) has an even smaller pool.

Oh wait, the Edge has TWO pools – one indoor, one outdoor. Hahaha
