Who knew? Apparently Paul Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign manager, owns a brownstone in Carroll Gardens. Manafort is currently under investigation by the FBI to see if he had any dealings with Russians.
The brownstone, at 377 Union Street, is unoccupied and under construction — or would be, but there’s a stop work order — with mysteriously large mortgage loans taken out against the property that likely exceed its value.
Intrepid neighborhood blog Pardon Me For Asking (which broke news of a suspicious Smith Street massage parlor not long ago) dug all of this up and has loads of details about the property. What do you think is going on?
