  1. Price is one thing – How about only showing apartments that have real value?

Mr. Brownstoner, can you please tell us why the Berkeley apt. is a pick? It appears to be 2 studios that were simply combined without any sort of real modifications (are there still two kitchens?). It appears to be a hair over 700 sf (i’m not counting the “sleeping loft” in the sf), and the maintenance is almost $900 per month. So with an ask of 600k, that’s about $840 per sf. plus really high maintenance. and the floorplan is lame because it was previously 2 studios.

Surely there must be better and cheaper choices (that have better value) available right now for the person looking to buy in Park Slope. Why would this place be a pick?

I love Brownstoner but feel like the credibility factor is beginning to fade into oblivion. Please prove me wrong with your future picks.

  2. Small, but the Clinton Hill place is very pretty, with lovely details.

As for the Berkeley Place listing, funny, but I think it would be neat to tell people I lived in the “Graham Home for Old Ladies.”

  3. I am just drooling over the pierrepont street property. Almost everything about it is perfect. I love the separation of the rooms, love the design (from what I can see in the pictures) and the location can’t be beat. Now if only I had the money.
