There’s an open house on 215 Van Brunt in Red Hook that I saw CL…looks interesting
JN 12:04 pm: Bond Street is a flood zone. Check out the flood zone maps of Brooklyn on NYC’s OEM website.
As an ardent defender of PLG, I did NOT find Nonny 12:23’s comment about Flatbush Ave to be in the least bit inflammatory. No one said the place is perfect, and mentioning a bad corner is not going to get me going. That’s a perfectly ligit complaint. A bad corner is a bad corner, no matter where it is. I live near Nostrand Ave, and would say the same thing about my corner, if anyone asked about where I live. The flame war is certainly not going to start here from me.
Pax!
Douglass street, Bond street, and Rutland road all seem crazily overpriced. Friends just last week signed on a 3 story in PS on 10th street and 6th ave. for 999,000. Smallish, but very nicely renovated, 4 bedrooms, sunny, and huge garden. Certainly not as much or as nice a house as Rutland, but much much nicer than than the other 2–and for a good Slope location at over 300,000 less than the Rutland and Bond houses.
Back in 2004, that Bond St. building was tiny, drab, and overpriced at 800K. And it didn’t sell, as far as I know. Now it is tiny, drab, and even more overpriced. I wish the owners luck. Prospective buyers should really see it–to believe how small it is.
What is wrong with you people. Don’t be so sensitive. This is crazy.
And by the way, I live in Bay Ridge. If anyone wants to criticize Bay Ridge, have at it!!!
PLEASE STOP THIS DYSFUNCTIONAL ARGUMENT!!!!
Here we go again. If anyone says anything that’s less than glowing about Lefferts, there’s hell to pay. Good grief.
Dear 1:08, my 12:23 post did not mention any worries about safety in PLG whatsoever! I was sharing information about the makeup of the house (which I have been in many times) and knowledge of its exact location. Stating that neighbors “complain about the noise from all-night hangers-out” does not constitute worrying about safety. Let’s please not start that whole thing again–but people should be able to share info about properties.
