“The roof, structure of the house and layout are sound”
Is the agent for 397 3rd St. an engineer? Brown Harris Stevens has E & O insurance I assume.
The Fiske Terrace house is in the Fiske Terrace/Midwood Park Historic District. I though real estate brokers were supposed to disclose this fact.
The Park Slope house was definitely featured already. I remember, because I commented on the bizarre placement of the beds smack in the middle of the bedrooms.
So many houses for sale and yet a few times now the same marketplace houses get picked twice. I don’t know that if I were the broker I’d always want that. It seems desperate.
stuy house looks like a days inn. bleah.
There;s a lot of inventory in that part of Bed Stuy, and a lot of it is livable and under $500K. That said, that house does look nice. I wish I could love that part of Bed Stuy. I’ve been exploring it, but I’m really on the fence.
The Fiske Terrace (mislabeled Midwood) place is sweet, but should fetch no more than $800K. Very strange. Another not-really-ready-to-sell listing (chop, chop, chop).
this house, however, is priced high. the house next door to mine, which looked to be in similar condition and similarly sized (about 1800 feet including windowed basement) sold for around $700K in 2009. it had a DOB issue to clear, but it was originally listed for $1 million.
frost restaurant has been there for ages. so have the italian butcher shops, though the meat hook is a great relatively recent addition. I’ve lived a block away from this house for 6 years, and there have indeed been a ton of new restaurants and cafes and shops appearing along graham ave.
that block of frost is actually one of the most attractive blocks in the neighborhood. some cute houses, minimal new construction, unbroken tree canopy of lovely old trees. that awesome converted firehouse is on this block.
