Do brokers sometimes falsely say “in contract” just to increase the apparent interest in the home when in reality they’re just taking the home off the market for a few months?

almost 4 months. It’s Friday…
Smudge2,
Last Weeks Biggest Sales always features big sales, almost by definition!

That’s a long time if it is still in contract – over 4 months.
Ok, 3 of the 4 sold and the 15th Street house we already saw recently on here so it must have been double posted. And it’s way overpriced.

And 975K for a small Windsor Terrace home doesn’t sound cheap either. Maybe I’m wrong.
Househunt,
“In contract” does not preclude “still listed.”
Outliers! Just wait, I predict that the next edition of Last Week’s Biggest Sales will feature big sales!
