How is the house in Crown Heights a gut job? It’s in absolutely perfect condition. Even if you wanted to a do an electrical or plumbing upgrade (not strictly necessary with a 20th c house) that’s not a “gut job” at all.
No, no asbestos in wallpaper. Really.
if it’s original paper in the dining room, does that mean asbestos???
that house in CH is def a gut job from the pictures. seems priced 150k over move-in comps in the area! 400k maybe.
I bet that is the original paper in the dining room.
“That kitchen is gorgeous.” (mopar)
Is that really the kitchen? It looks like a pantry with a sink. I guess the stove is off camera?
I remember this one too.
That Crown Heights house is beautiful. Seems to be in perfect condition, except for those stains on the floor in the living room. I wonder if that means they had pets and there’s a smell that could be difficult to eradicate. But if not, I wouldn’t change a thing. Looks like the original gold wallpaper in the dining room. That kitchen is gorgeous. Just put in a new Forbo floor and you’re set. They don’t say how many bedrooms.
I remember that Crown Heights house was on here before. Interesting they’ve upped the price slightly. Thanks for the tip, Babs.
isn’t the bond street house priced a little high though?
Hello, owner of 17 Park Place. I am sorry I called your house the dregs. I understand that reading the snarky, hyperbolic comments of strangers on your precious baby can be upsetting. That said, it is only the beginning; if you are really serious about selling your home, you need to detach emotionally and learn to let the comments bounce.
Overall, I think the exposure on Brownstoner will do you more good than harm, negative comments and all. It’s not like someone interested in your house would not see that the layout is unconventional; wouldn’t you rather have the feedback and the free publicity?
Peace.
