10 mins is actually a hike if you are carrying anything, have small child(ren) or it’s 95 degrees or 18 degrees out, or pouring rain.
Thanks SO MUCH for including apartment picks–not all of us Brownstoner readers can afford 2 million+ townhouses!
dumbo is only for the rich. i wish i would’ve bought there years ago
wow. i love the 70washington listing. i wish i could afford it. those cabanas are bigger then my apartment
some people leave for work late and would rather not factor those 10min into their commute.
The idea that walking 10 whole minutes to a subway is a negative astounds me. YOU ARE SO LAZY!
175 Hicks could be that old. I just grabbed by copy of OLD BROOKLYN HEIGHTS. 173, 175 Hicks: “4-storied brick on high basements, built separately; Greek Revival, engaged Doric columns…175 listed in 1838 city directory…”
People’s opinions vary. What one person likes another might not. You would have to visit Clinton Hill, go from one end to the next and see for yourself if it is a good neighborhood. Same with Dumbo.
I liked the Clinton Hill co-op the best…
the unit appears to have lovely light and the layout is nice… would have liked to have seen the kitchen and bathroom.
