Price Increases at One Brooklyn Bridge Park
On Friday StreetEasy recorded slight price increases on about a dozen units listed for sale at One Brooklyn Bridge Park. For example, a 1,020-square-foot unit went from asking $965,000 to being listed for $995,000; the same condo was originally listed for $1,300,000 in 2008. I’ve looked at apartments in 1BBP a few times, including last week. I really like most of the finishes and the layout of certain 2 bedroom units facing south and west, with views of the Verrazzano, Governors Island and the Statue of Liberty. Still, I think the prices are a bit too high (so I’m surprised they’re raising them), and I think the maintenance is much too high. So, I don’t know that I’ll pull the trigger and buy there.
I could think of a lot worse places to live than this place.
Who in the F are buying these? And how awful is their commute to the train! Just the worst.
I was trapped on the BQE on day a couple weeks ago (damn pothole patching!) and I was basically staring into one of these apartments for about 15 mins. The whole time thinking, “Wow, what a horrible horrible horrible place to live!!”
Some were combined, though. I remember a few sales comprised of 2 (and even 3) units. It is possible they’re at 50%.
So I guess they aren’t even half sold.
I believe there are about 440 units.
Streeteasy shows:
207 recorded sales
20 active listings
4 for rent
1 in contract
Seems they might be over half way by now. Not sure how many units total.
Definitely the most luxurious looking mental institution built on top of a busy expressway in Brooklyn.
