One of the most interesting new developments in Brooklyn is now leasing, according to a sign on the building. But there are no listings or teaser website out yet for 76 North 4th Street, aka the Steelworks Lofts. The condo-turned-rental building is now being developed by Jake Toll (son of the chairman of Toll Brothers chairman Robert Toll) and has some pretty amazing interiors by AvroKO, a firm known for its restaurant design (Public, Quality Meats).

Materials salvaged from the building, such as beams, are a design element in the apartments, and the kitchen cabinetry resembles an old icebox, as we’ve noted. Gene Kaufman Architects is contributing a glass and metal panel addition to the old brick facade. We have no idea what the 83 units are going to go for, but with fairly generic apartments starting at $2,900 a month for a studio these days, we’re almost afraid to find out. Thor High Street Advisors is handling the leasing, according to the sign.

No progress is visible on the exterior of the building, which has been shrouded in netting and scaffolding for over a year.
