This brownstone at 41 Jefferson Avenue just came on the market with a price tag of $1,299,000. It’s scale (20 feet wide with high ceilings), historic details and attractive renovation are bound to generate some interest–enough, we bet, to make this price viable despite the Bed Stuy location. What do you think?

  1. Multiple offers within first days of showing. Probably about a dozen or so in by now. Best and final is today. Will sell for well above asking nelieve it or not. The bar has been raised in this area for sure.

  3. I saw this house on sunday- kitchen is teeny the fireplaces do not work, and I would not call it a renovation at all. The 2 bedroom garden level is small especially since the bathroom is too large– I agree that it would be much better as a garden rental and a triplex BUT it is actually a four family multi-dwelling…which is why taxes are over 6,000
    Small yard but lovely street…

  5. there is no plaster molding, it’s all tin. i’d call the tin fair condition at best. see the bulge near the light? floors don’t look like they’ve been refinished in years.

they gave it a nice paint and plaster job. i’ll give them that.
