This cute little Gowanus house, currently set up as a one-family, has exposed brick and a nicely renovated kitchen and bathroom. It has two bedrooms and one-and-a-half baths, with an additional guest room (sans plumbing) in the cottage out back. The current occupants wrote in to say they found the property through Brownstoner, and are sad to leave, but are relocating because of a job transfer. If this were ours, we would keep it just as it is except for two small things: We would demo the closet in the living room and position the furniture facing the chimneys, and reconfigure the top-floor bathroom to be accessible via the hallway, even if it means losing the sink (we’d go with the Japanese all-in-one!). For $949,000, what do you think of it?
