Currently configured as an owner’s duplex topped by two floor-through rentals, the property also has potential for some nice rental income (around $4,000 a month, we’d imagine). That income will come in handy, though, considering the asking price of $2,350,000. Seems a bit rich to us, but it’s a great house in a great location so ya never know.

You always have to take at least $500k off a Corcoran listing.
I have friends with a house on top of the G on Lafayette and i have never noticed train noise or vibration in their place.
Re price point–if its in good shape it could get close to this price. Don’t know what needs work. Also don’t know if I agree that it has to be a triplex and one rental for this price point. Some people might be happy with two floors a yard and a garage plus 4G in income. Depends on the buyer and how much they plan on putting down.
You can feel the G on the front bedroom on the lower floor, but as you know it goes by very infrequently. Train noise is much worse on Fulton St. near South Oxford above the grates to the A/C. When I lived there I use to be able to sit in my apartment and hear the announcement about the train going express.
I used to live across the street from this place, which I always admired (you can’t beat a corner brownstone and those are handsome box bays!). When I lived there it was considered a dangerous location and cabs weren’t willing to take you there. How things have changed.
Fourth floor, which is being marketed as a separate unit and does have a kitchen, has no bathroom.
Great Location, awesome that it has parking! Looks like a nice home. I think they’re asking about half a mil more than they should be though. Its a good deal around $1.8-2mil…DEFFFFFFF needs more pics…they do that home no justice comon Corcoran step ya game up!!!!!!
Saw this at an open house several weeks ago. There’s a reason there are so few photos — it needs a lot of work, and as others have mentioned, the current set up needs to be reconfigured for it to make sense for most folks in this price point.
I didn’t stick around long enough to find out, but I also would be concerned about the vibrations from the G train, which I believe runs directly (if not particularly frequently) below the house.
Great house, great location, garage! the kitchen looks odd though, with that little half-step up and the jarring tiling job. Also, I agree with m4l, at this price point, i would hope for the work to be done already.
WOW -what a great house and LOVE the garage. What a huge plus
– that kitchen is gorgeous – love a kitchen with a door to the backyard/deck/patio
– but um Broker – could we have a few more pics? Don’t be so chintzy
