House of the Day: 122 Carroll Street
Is it 2007 or something? This house at 122 Carroll Street in Carroll Gardens just hit the market with the absurd asking price of $3,500,000. Clearly part of the reason for the big ask is that the owner recently spent some dough on a renovation either the pictures aren’t very good or the renovation itself…

Clearly part of the reason for the big ask is that the owner recently spent some dough on a renovation either the pictures aren’t very good or the renovation itself doesn’t have much of a wow factor. Could this place even fetch $2 million? Nutso.

OTOH, it is very close to church for when you need the last minute absolution.
Personally I go for the
“… amazing taxes”!
If this was on the other side of Henry Street, over $2M might be doable. This close to the BQE trench — I don’t know. Clearly $3.5 is a typo.
now where do I get a nice stone front like on this garden level? How much extra is that adding to the price?
…and this is why rents are always going to be so high, because some retard a-hole on wall street will buy it, and then try to rent the basement for 2k a month, and some other a-hole with no other options will think it’s fair market value.
The intercom distracts from the historical accuracy of the entranceway. Knock $50,000 off for that. The urn will no doubt be smashed on Halloween.
Now whaddya think jenni?????
I was sold at the intercom. Wait, no, maybe not.
Jennietrixie cracked me up with the head shot comparison. These photos are terrible. No idea what this place really looks like. Other than the stone urn, of course, which I am pretty sure about.
“Stop with the multiple shots of the same room, or random shit. I swear, it’s like a personal ad with only a tightly cropped head shot: Nice eyes, but I can safely assume the rest is a mess.”
LOL. I can’t imagine it would cost that much money to get a professional photographer or an experienced real estate photographer to take pictures. You’ve just spent a lot of money on a renovation and you’re broker is going to get possibly 6% of the sale, a few bucks more for professional pictures won’t break the bank.
The asking price is either an error or a ploy.
The location is not great.
More than 2M?
Good question.
I’m dubious.
