This beautiful colonial house at 55 83rd Street in Bay Ridge was on the market earlier this year and after a brief summer vacation, is back on again with the same asking price of $3,350,000. We won’t pretend to know whether that’s a good value or not. Instead we’ll spend our time drooling over the original interiors and suburban-like 80-by-100-foot lot. Pretty sweet indeed.

  1. No doubt you will need flood insurance for the size of the mortgage. it will be very expensive. Even though this house is on a hill and won’t flood unless we get that tsunami from the Azores.

  2. It’s across the street from a very large High School; Fort Hamilton.
    IMO, that’s a negative.
The block does have some very nice looking homes. It’s half a block from the ‘Gingerbread’ house, which by the way is still on the market.
And it’s one block from the water. I wonder if they have a view of Verrazzano bridge.
Overpriced!!! Prolly by a million. That’s right I said a million….cause of the close location to the school.

  3. I like the yard space and the exterior of the house. The interiors are nothing to write home about. That’s a lotta dough though. Other homes featured by this broker are similarly exobitant but maybe I just don’t know prices in Bay Ridge.
