House of the Day: 257 Stuyvesant Avenue
Wow, the architectural detail in some of these Stuyvesant Heights homes never ceases to amaze! This particular house at 257 Stuyvesant Avenue is no exception: Check out the woodwork in the parlor and stairwell. The four-story house is currently configured as a two-family and is asking $985,000. We’re not sure how long it’s been on…

257 Stuyvesant Avenue [Fillmore Real Estate] GMAP P*Shark
No question this is a beautiful house and no surprise that it’s located on Stuyvesant Avenue! What I’m not getting is the “17 rooms”, though. 5 rooms on the first floor and TWELVE rooms on the 2nd? What the heck is that?
Where’s cmu – I wanna know what he thinks of the woodwork.
ishtar, they are not “colors.” They are a mix of brownstones & limestones. It’s prety common throughout Bed Stuy.
I also like the “greenish sandstone” ones…a few on bainbridge and elsewhere.
Great House, Great Block will sell for 850-950k.
@half off-you’ve got to be one of the most ridiculous people that blog on here
@dave-Most Fillmore listings have floor plans. Fillmore has really spruced up they’re listing inventory and are starting to re-gain popularity in Brownstone Brooklyn from the Manhattan and boutique brokers, Ive noticed it…has anyone else?
This looks like one of those blocks where they built a row of houses and mixed in some limestones with the brownstones. It makes for a nice variation and of course the limestone has turn out to be much more durable.
oooh, that fretwork and dutch staircase alone make this a winner! the price seems good so must need some updating. wish they’d add a floorplan.
Where is Montrose? I would like to know why these houses are “random” colors unlike the row across the street. Was this common at the time these were built?
It’s called brownstone, ishtar.
Failmore!
Oh, retarded price but in line with the retarded market.
