House of the Day: 146 Willow Street
Zoinks! This is quite the listing. $7,500,000 for a five-story, 7,800-square-foot house at 146 Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights. Of course, it needs a complete gut renovation, which makes one wonder whether the $1,000-a-foot asking price is justified, despite the prime Heights location and architectural quality of the house. What do you think it will…

Finally! I’ve refused to engage in a bidding war until I found the perfect property for which to overpay more than ask, and this, my friends, is it!
Dreamer, you know you are a dreamer
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
I said dreamer, you’re nothing but a dreamer,
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
I said “Far out, – What a day, a year, a life it is!”
You know, – Well you know you had it comin’ to you,
Now there’s not a lot I can do
Dreamer, you silly little dreamer;
So now you put your head in your hands, oh no!
I said “Far out, – What a day, a year, a life it is!”
You know, – Well you know you had it comin’ to you,
No there’s not a lot I can do.
We’ll work it out someday
If I could see something
You can see anything you want boy
If I could be someone-
You can be anyone,celebrate boy.
If I could do something-
Well you can do something,
If I could do anything-
Can you do something out of this world?
Take a dream on a Sunday
Take a life, take a holiday
Take a lie, take a dreamer
Dream, dream, dream, dream, dream along…
Dreamer, you know you are a dreamer
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
I said dreamer, you’re nothing but a dreamer
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
OH NO!
Just imagine the abominable doings that went on in this hellhole on that fifth floor. My god the horror.
Zoinks? *smh*
I thought that meant the owner is reading!
118 Willow had a similarly absurd ask of 7.5m and finally sold for 5m last August. It’s currently undergoing a renovation.
124 sold for 4.1m in 2007 and is finishing a two-year total gut.
This house is not nearly as nice.
hey maly, great minds think alike. I put $4 million in the widget. There must be some brokers around, someone put $8.4 million in the widget.
Lesloaf, where did you see that?
It looks like the current owner bought it in 1980.
looks like an investment more than a home. So, if you turn it into five condos at 1000-1200sft, and sell them for $1 million each, you’ll be $4 million in the hole after $1.5 million reno.
