Oh, I just realized they put the yellow on the ceiling too in the kitchen. Wow. That should be oppressive. But I bet it’s not. I want to see this house.
The paint colors in the bedrooms and the kitchen are so nervy and fabulous.
tybur quote:
“(I’ve always thought the triangle north of Union Should be called something else since their slope doesn’t lead to a park…)”
Triangle above Union Street; or
Triangle north of Union Street
Tybur, maybe you can turn this into something like the
Triangle Below Canal Street (Tribeca). At this hour I am not coming up with much.
Or, how about Trinoslo, the “no” because it is “north” and also as you pointed out, there is *no* slope to the park there. Or, perhaps Trinosloka (the “k” for the K in “park”).
See I think you can do much better than this meager attempt.
Some people just don’t appreciate original details like butler’s pantries and individual “dressing room” sinks.
Stick to condos.
Its a beautiful house, and (except for the top floor) in wonderful original condition. However, this means that it is pretty impractical — including the individual sinks in each of the 3rd floor rooms, the original butler’s pantry (and sink) in the back of the parlor floor, the small, tight staircase down to the ground floor (which obviously was only intended for servants). How much work would it take to make it more livable for a 21st century family, and is there any way you could update the house without doing too much damage to the original details?
11217, here’s your opportunity to accuse him of really being *rob*
With all due respect, Stargazer…you don’t seem to like much of anything.
Last week you complained because there weren’t enough living rooms and now it’s too many.
Do you EVER say anything which isn’t a complaint?
perhaps an in-laws garotte??
A Living Room, a Parlor and a Rear Parlor..
how many living rooms does one need???
This is one of my favorite blocks though…..
but sorry, i dont need 3 living rooms.
