House of the Day: 240 Lafayette Avenue
The photos could be better, but this new listing at 240 Lafayette Avenue in Clinton Hill looks pretty good otherwise and, at $1,275,000, should sell fairly quickly, we suspect. Has anyone checked this place out in person? 240 Lafayette Avenue [Douglas Elliman] GMAP P*Shark

“So very dark inside….”
Market backdrop. Buyer warned.
***Bid half off peak comps***
Hard to tell. With some cameras, the brighter the light coming in through the windows, the darker the photos.
The negatives: short lot so no backyard, G line + Lafayette + Underwood= super loud, unrenovated, dark
The positives: no HD special to undo, hmmm.. well, it’s close to the playground, and hmm.. that’s it.
Even the broker doesn’t believe.
What a pitiful listing. Inexcusable.
LOUD!!!!!!!!!!! via subway, cars & trucks, and Rob’s Fav “screaming kids” across the street (particularly now as they play in the water sprinklers)
I wonder what it’s like having the G train underneath. Should be an interesting engineer’s report.
Impossible to tell what this place is like, other than dark.
i think this is why lots of people like the look of a brownstone from the outside and then gut the interiors. that looks so depressing in there. gut it, gut it good!

They should’ve read this piece first:

NO, Arkady. They are using Prudential Douglass Elliman, one of the largst realtors in the country. You’d think this lazy ass broker would understand what’s necessary.
maybe he’s just doing it as a favor for hi brother in law.
Either way, the seller’s not getting his money’s worth.
