This free-standing woodframe house at 115 Fenimore Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens was scheduled to auctioned out of foreclosure today based on an outstanding lien of just $26,051. We’ve got no idea what kind of shape the interior is in but it’s clearly a charmer on the outside and sits on a large 60-by-100-foot lot. What do you think this place is worth? Update: We got an email from the owner saying that the auction is over. No word on price yet.Scratch that…turns out that the motion was vacated. No sale.

  1. This house was severly damaged by fire approximately two weeks ago. Fortunately, no-one was injured. I hope the Lefferts Manor Association, the LPC, the Landmarks Conservancy, and whatever federal agency is involved (Lefferts Manor is on the National Register of Historic Places) will step in to help save it – it is the oldest house in Lefferts Manor. Per the LPC’s historic district designation report, “The first buildings witihn the boundaries of Lefferts Manor are two frame dwellings at 107 and 115 Fenimore Street, built in 1896.”

  2. A forclosed property masquerading as a HOTD?!
    Preposterous!
    I agree with Expert Textpert.
My Thursday is incomplete without a proper HOTD listing to ravage.
This is an outrage, Mr. B.
