This house at 786 Putnam Avenue is a real charmer. Tons of original detail, including some beautiful parquet floors and a killer staircase. The house is also located in just outside Stuyvesant Heights, the longtime-landmarked section of Bed Stuy with one of the most incredible and well-preserved stock of old houses anywhere. The house is only three stories, though, so it’ll be interesting to see if it fetches its asking price of $799,000. We bet it’ll get pretty close.

Yes, CHL, the two sink one with the antique tub is on the parlour level. And the funky one with no shower curtain is on the ground level.
Top floor has 1 and a half baths.
Weird bathrooms in weird places all around, don’t you agree???
Expert, it’s a funky shower, NOT a funky sink! ; )
“It looks like somebody jacked the tub in that lower level bathroom.”
ROFL, Snark. BTW, I’ll send you the contractor info.
ROFL, Expert! Thank you, Expert, Dave, and CrownHeightsLady for clearing up my confusion (at least regarding the layout of this house).
It seems the two fags are confused today. One can’t get his stories straight and the other needs to walk the streets more often.
“bklplebe..your arguments on the economy are just mumbo jumbo and no one here cares. ”
They are not my arguments and you are not everyone. Some people reading the comments might believe that those houses are the bargains of the century–just trying to put some perspective through links which, let me remind you, you solicited.
Thanks, Expert. Hadn’t noticed the little arrows. So I’m right about the Parlor Floor bath and bedroom (I was going by the room labels that pop up when you’re looking only at the photos), but wrong about what I thought was the other top floor bath, and there appear to be no pics of either top floor bath. Phew. Y’know me, Expert, I’m very easily confused!! ; )
“Dave, I did. Take a look, and tell me you don’t see a 3rd bedroom in the floorplan on the top floor, which actually appears to be the bathroom with the funky shower overlooking the garden, and there’s no top floor bathroom configured as the 2 baths are shown on the floorplan.”
MORE & MORE CONFUSION….
That “funky bathroom” is not on the 3rd level. It’s on the ground level next to the kitchen.
(sigh)
Is this a dangerous neighborhood? It looks like somebody jacked the tub in that lower level bathroom.
