House of the Day: 615 3rd Street
Hot house! This 4,552-square-hoot brick and limestone two-family is certainly one of the grandest to hit the market so far this year. Built by an architect for himself in 1899, the house’s kitchens and bathrooms have been updated recently. We can’t find a single thing to complain about, from the park-block location to period details to scale of the rooms. Gorgeous. We’ll see if the price tag flies though: They’re asking $3,800,000 for a place that traded for $2,850,000 in mid-2006. Doable?

I like that its only $18,000 per month. The stimulus tax deduction of $8/week should help to get a lot of these type houses moving.
Wow honeycut, you pegged it!
ha! good call honeycut
*r*
While the house itself is lovely, each room seems to have been an assignment for the contestants from the much-maligned Top Design reality show on Bravo — which is like a train wreck for me, I want to look away, but cannot!
Hotd: $2.85 million to $3.8 million for two bathrooms. They must have used a govern ment contractor.
Anywho – nice house. too much money.
I just don’t get MJ mopar. the media is infatuated with him and it seems he can do no wrong. although i have to admit, up until this season the shows/parties etc were pretty damn fun.
11217….maybe the furniture comes with it.
Since most people would agree that home prices are down to about 2006 levels, what exactly would make this owner think that they deserve to make 1 million dollars in less than 3 years…?
