This three-story brownstone at 399 Bergen Street has a nice vibe too it but would benefit from a little staging. The two-family house just hit the market for $1,595,000 which doesn’t seem like a lot of dough for a house in this part of town—or at least, it wouldn’t have a few months ago. Now, it’s anybody’s guess. Although only three stories, the brownstone does have some extra FAR that comes with it. Waddya think?

Hard to know without seeing the layout and the cross streets, but this looks like a solid, reasonably priced house.
And a soupçon more cowbell.
Needs more floorplan.
I think the issue is that the decor is a good indicator of the condition of the house — pretty neglected, I’d venture a guess. Bottom line: needs substantial price cut and likely some renovation.

Decor aside, you’re not buying the furniture with the house. Probably could use a very small shave.

I’ve never exactly figured out what constitutes a “country kitchen”, but what the heck is a country dining room?
On second thoughts that price should come down $400.
I think thats a reasonable price for a cosy little place.
