This charming Greek Revival townhouse at 41 Joralemon appears to be an interesting chance to get into the Heights for under $3 million. While we were bummed to see the dining room stripped of its mantel, the legal two-family certainly isn’t lacking for old-world charm. For under $900 a square foot, this presents decent value we’d think. Anything we’re missing?

  1. Harbor views vs. the park. Hmmm….

Regardless, this is a nice house. Needs some interior design magic in the master bedroom, but that’s not too hard.

The location is a major minus. BQE noise and soon lots of pedestrian traffic to the park. Not exactly a Charming Heights experience.

  2. oh please, are you really going to argue that a townhouse in ps would be worth the same as bh. can i make a bet that you are from ps? your comment above seems as presumptuous as the people you are targeting.

  3. PS is not in the same league as BH in terms of cache and snootyness, rather than charm. If you’re a partner in a law firm saying you live in The Heights is acceptable, whereas saying you live in the slope is reagarded as slumming. That’s worth 3M to many.

  4. You are telling us that this house was on the market for $800K 2 years ago? I don’t care how close to the BQE it is, over 3,000 sq. ft. in Brooklyn Heights for under a million would have been the steal of the century.
